Well-Armed American Militias Rise As Faith In Government Continues To Erode

HBO’s news documentary series “VICE” on Thursday released several promotional video clips highlighting the rise of America’s militias. The third episode of the season, airing Friday night, includes interviews with the Three Percent United Patriots, a well-armed, reportedly well-trained group with chapters across the United States.

“As faith in the government continues to erode, people are starting to want to go back … to the real intention of the constitution,” Three Percent co-founder Mike Morris told VICE during the October taping of the show. “The original intent of the Second Amendment was that the American citizen would be as armed and as prepared as the government itself.”
